On the basis of their Application Rating (AR) and their overall CAT 2024 scaled score out of 20, candidates who satisfy the minimum CAT 2024 percentile eligibility requirement will be shortlisted for the PI. The Gender Diversity Factor (GDF) scores of all female applicants will be raised by four points.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s CA, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India’s CS, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India’s CMA, the CFA Institute of the United States’ CFA, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals’ FRM are the only professional degrees that are taken into account.
An additional point will be awarded to candidates who have earned a two-year MTech, ME, MS, or M.Pharm degree. Professionally qualified candidates will also be given a higher score. Therefore, if they meet both requirements, they can receive two extra points overall.

Stage 2 – The candidate’s performance in the online PI process, CAT 2022, and the cumulative application rating (AR) score will determine the final selection in the second stage of the MBA admissions process. MBA Eligibility Requirements for IIT Kharagpur in 2025
The MBA program requires applicants to fulfill the following requirements:
- One or more of the following qualities are required of a candidate:
A minimum four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, or pharmacy
OR
A bachelor’s degree in statistics or mathematics combined with a master’s degree in science, economics, or commerce
2. Minimum scores required to be eligible for certain degrees:
a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale, or at least 60% in general, EWS, or OBC classes.
A CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale, or at least 55% of the possible points, is required for SC/ST/PWD status.
- Candidates who are taking their final year of qualifying degree exams and those who have completed the requirements for their degree but are awaiting results are also welcome to apply. These applicants will only receive provisional admission to the program if selected. The certificate from their university, college, or institute confirming that they have completed all requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree, as applicable, must be submitted by May 31, 2025, by the provisionally approved candidates.
- Candidates must be in good health. If the certificate of medical fitness submitted at registration contains any inconsistencies, the Institute’s Medical Officer’s decision will be final.
- To be admitted to the MBA program, PWD applicants must appear before a medical board at IIT Kharagpur by no later than October 31, 2025. The Medical Board’s decision is final and will bind the candidate.
